A hex id is its column letter plus the number of the diagonal running up-left through it (the numbers on the left edge of the map). Link to a spot on the map with /world/map/#hex=F23, #place=ostia or #nation=lycia. Explored hexes come from markdown files in src/content/hexes/; cities and borders from src/data/map/.
